Chris Cooper Named Tampa Bay’s Woman of the Year in Financial Services
Land O’Lakes, FL. Christine B. Cooper, owner of Cooper Financial Services in Land O’Lakes, has been named as Business Woman of the Year in Financial Services for Tampa Bay. The award was made Friday night in a Hollywood-style, black tie gala at Tampa’s Waterside Marriott Hotel, an event attended by hundreds of Tampa Bay’s most accomplished women in business and VIP guests. In addition to being recognized by the judges as the winner in the Financial Services category, Mrs. Cooper was awarded a crystal trophy from the Tampa Bay Business Journal, which conducted the competition and the event, and prizes from local businesses. “I’d like to thank the Journal for recognizing Tampa Bay’s outstanding women in business,” said Cooper. “It shows that Tampa Bay’s business community is alive and well, even in this economy, and that our women business owners are second to none.”
Chris Cooper owns and operates Cooper Financial Services, an independent financial services practice with offices in Land O’Lakes. Cooper Financial Services Named Pasco County’s Service Industry of the Year
Land O’Lakes, FL.Cooper Financial Services in Land O’Lakes, has been named as Service/Distribution Industry of the Year (Category 1, 30 employees or fewer) by the Pasco Economic Development Council.The award was made September 8 at the PEDC 23rd Annual Industry Appreciation Banquet at Saddlebrook Resort.The event was attended by approximately 500 of the County’s most accomplished business owners and employees, VIP guests, and the PEDC officers and directors.In nominating Cooper Financial for this honor, the PEDC said that the company was, “a leader in helping to increase the quality of life in Pasco County through job creation, capital investment, and involvement in civic activities and community life.”“I’d like to thank the PEDC for this award,” said Christine B. Land O’Lakes, FL.Christine Cooper, owner of Cooper Financial Services in Land O’Lakes, was congratulated in September by formal resolution of the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners.In Resolution 09-372, passed by the Board on September 22, the Board congratulated Christine Cooper on being named Tampa Bay’s Woman of the Year in Financial Services by the Tampa Bay Business Journal on August 21 and for her company (Cooper Financial Services) being selected as the 2009 Service Category 1 Industry of the Year by the Pasco Economic Development Council on September 8.The Board commended Cooper for her outstanding service to the business community. The resolution also applauded Cooper for being a “shining example that women business owners are second to none in the Tampa Bay area and have made major contributions toward keeping Tampa Bay’s business community alive and thriving during these current economic times.”
